Hi,

I am using Fedora 21 with GNOME Shell 3.14.2 in a Lenovo T530 laptop.
Is there anyway that I can configure the finder print reader in the
laptop to login to GNOME and to authenticate for other operations,
such as git push etc ?

Hi,

I have e530 so and luck so far.

fingerprint-gui shows "Upek sensor" as attached device, but it does not recognize it as fingerprint device. I found this link "http://karuppuswamy.com/wordpress/2010/07/22/how-to-get-fingerprint-reader-working-in-fedora-linux-upek-147e1000-in-this-case/";, but as I said, it does not recognize it here..

Can you try this and see if it works for you?

Thanks,
