I have a new installation of fc21, KDE spin, 64-bit on a Core2Duo
box. MythTV is from rpm fusion and UPnP requires UDP on port 1900. I
have been unable to set this up using the default systemd graphic
firewall manager, which causes a tens-of-seconds system sulk and then
offers tcp, but disabling that and using the iptables GUI instead
seems ok. I didn't recognise anything on google.
You mean when you bring up the "firewall-config" GUI for firewalld,
select "Ports" and then get the menu you don't see a drop-down menu
for selecting UDP and a place to add 1900? Or, are you saying you did
that, but the port still isn't open?
I see the drop-down menu with the two options, but selecting UDP causes
the sulk (ie, the keyboard and mouse become unresponsive) and then
re-offers TCP.
I think I should re-phrase that. I'm not on that machine at present,
but IIRC the mouse pointer moves, but clicks after the first get no
reponse for some time.
