Something came up (had to learn 50 songs on drums in 1 week) but I'm back now. I should have mentioned that this crashing problem with 37.0.1 occurs on Fedora 14 64-bit. I went to about 20 different sites, watched it crash about 10 times, and sent in the crash report every time. And no, it doesn't just occur on "questionable sites", it even happened on one of mine which was essentially a blank page. Since I am on an old, supposedly outdated distro I don't think I can use yum to update Firefox. Right? After some effort I managed to locate and install version 36.0.4 64-bit. Is as solid as a rock. I can't find any way to crash it, although apparently the people at Mozilla are going to try. It immediately downloaded the "updates" again, I'm assuming to 37.0.1, for the next time I start it. Words can't express (and would be inappropriate for this group) what I think of this. Does anyone know what is the best way to keep it from actually applying the updates? Thanks for every one who responded and I apologize for not replying back sooner. Jim Lewis 512-797-3049 http://jklewis.com <- my resume, Java games, and link to book are here.
