Thanks to both Cameron and you, Bob!

After the transfer, here is what we have, on that filesystem:

$ du -sh kmeans --apparent-size
154G	kmeans

$ du -sh kmeans
628G	kmeans

So, I guess that leaves me (and others) stuck.
