Is there a simple program for editing a wav files media information?
Like the name of the track displayed in VLC?
Prefer a Xfce tool, but KDE or Gnome is fine also. Just looking for
something simple, not audacity...
simple is as simple does.
1- if files are on system hdd, ie, 'ripped' files,
program is call 'any file browser'. ;-)
This will not touch the meta data within the wav file. At least I do
not see it.
2- if files are on cd/dvd, program is called 'sol'. :-)
3- if you wish to do such from within vlc, right click on
track name, ie, "1 - Track 1.wav", name, select
"Media Information", make changes, save.
Hmmm. When I tried this before it would not let me edit the
information. Now it does.
Mine is not to reason why.
i prefer #1 as it is quickest and easiest.
#3 allows more info storage, but i really do not need all that info
to listen to music.
hth.
