The name is probably "java" then. Right-click on any java processes and select "Properties." The resulting window will contain the "Command Line" that invoked the process, and that should tell you whether you're looking at netbeans or some other java process. When you've found it, you can right-click to end or kill the process. You don't need the PID to do so from the gnome-system-monitor.
