fedup: WiFi failure

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

After updating Fedora-20/KDE to Fedora-21 on my ThinkPad-T61 with fedup,
I find that WiFi is no longer working.
The WiFi card is Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 4965 .
It seems that the kernel-modules package was not updated by fedup,
although this is not metioned in /var/log/fedup.log .

After yum-installing kernel-modules and running "sudo modprobe iwl4965",
lsmod shows that the module is installed,
but WiFi is still not working, even after re-booting,
though the module remained loaded.

I'm not sure what to do in these systemd days -
in previous times I might have looked at /etc/udev/rules.d/
but this seems denuded now.

Any advice or suggestions gratefully received.
