Hi,

Is there a fedora rpm available/repo for MasterPdfEditor?

http://code-industry.net/pdfeditor.php

I would like to try this out, but thought that I would ask around for
a rpm first before installing manually. Searching on DDG did not
yield a definitive answer.

Many thanks,

There are rpms for 32-bit and 64-bit systems. I don't think they're
system specific. They're not even zipped. Just download the rpm you
need and install it.

From a root prompt, "rpm -Uvh filename.rpm" without the quote marks,
of course. For filename, you put the complete downloaded filename,
including the
dot-version number, if it comes with one.

Post back if you install it, and tell us all how you like it,or if you
had any trouble.

What do you think, are these lines needed?

Look, you can get rid of these errors thus:

Assuming you downloaded the rpm in some dir.
Mine is in
/usr/s/usr/src/redhat/RPMS/x86_64/master-pdf-editor-2.1.00.x86_64.rpm

Run the command:
rpmrebuild -d /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/x86_64 -ep
/usr/src/redhat/RPMS/x86_64/master-pdf-editor-2.1.00.x86_64.rpm

This will put you in the editor to edit the spec file.

In the spec file, do 2 things. The first is totally optional:

Change
Release: 2
to
Release: 2.fc20

then scroll down to
%files
and delete the first line beneath %files :
%dir %attr(0775, root, root) "/" <<<<, Delete this line

Then write and exitDo you want to continue ? (y/N)

:wq!

This will prompt you with a question.
Do you want to continue ? (y/N)

Answer with y

The new rpm file will appear in /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/x86_64/

and will have the .fc20 as part of it's name.

yum localinstall .......etc.....
