Hi,

This is what I've found so far. There is no official applet because of this change, so contributors are welcome [1]. 
From command line there is a perfect utility shipped with bluez5, called bluetoothctl. For graphical environment I've tried to use bluedevil (from KDE) and it is partially working, I can see devices, and I can initiate file send, but for example add device isn't working. Some sources telling gnome-bluetooth should work, but I cannot test it because one of my earlier attempt killed my gnome environment :)

Sorry, so far I've used it only on my desktop, where there is no bluetooth.
