Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. > Thanks! Unfortunately, there are hard lockups. Last night upon wakeup from hibernate, I got the following: kernel:[43026.180173] do_IRQ: 0.81 No irq handler for vector (irq -1) kernel:do_IRQ: 0.81 No irq handler for vector (irq -1) And there was a thick band of flitting black red and blue speckled images aceorss the top lof the lower third of my screen. I could not seem to be able to get rid of this without reboot. This morning, I did not get any messages but the system was in hard lockup. And I had to reboot. How do I disable irqbalance? And there appears to be no irq.c on my system. RTS5249 PCI Express Card Reader (rev 01) I do not have kernel modesetting disabled in my kernel. The hardware is Dell Precision M3800 and the screen resolution is 3200x1800. 12GB memory and 16GB swap. If more information is needed, feel free to ask. I did submit a bug report yesterday but it has not been assigned yet. Looks like an obscure issue.
