Hi All,
I upgraded my desktop OS from Fedora 17 to Fedora 20. It is a simple desktop, used for general proposes. I used Fedora 17 for a long time and "disconnection problems" did not happened .But since I moved to Fedora 20 I'm noticing a lot disconnections. What could be happening ? Additional information: I if I switch to a live OS (i,e Ubuntu, Kali, Fedora 17) these problem do not happen. I know that it is not very smart, but I tried to used static IP, but no luck, I keep disconnecting. I have pasted some logs: Sep 7 15:53:26 localhost kernel: [ 497.303607] e1000e: em1 NIC Link is Down Sep 7 15:53:26 localhost NetworkManager[561]: <info> (em1): link disconnected (deferring action for 4 seconds) Sep 7 15:53:30 localhost NetworkManager[561]: <info> (em1): link disconnected (calling deferred action) Sep 7 15:53:30 localhost NetworkManager[561]: <info> (em1): device state change: activated -> unavailable (reason 'carrier-changed') [100 20 40] Sep 7 15:53:30 localhost NetworkManager[561]: <info> (em1): deactivating device (reason 'carrier-changed') [40] Sep 7 15:53:31 localhost NetworkManager[561]: <info> (em1): canceled DHCP transaction, DHCP client pid 1759 Sep 7 15:53:31 localhost avahi-daemon[440]: Withdrawing address record for 172.16.1.14 on em1 Sep 7 15:53:31 localhost avahi-daemon[440]: Leaving mDNS multicast group on interface em1.IPv4 with address 172.16.1.14.
