# grep -i cpu /proc/cpuinfo

$ lspci -knn | grep -A3 VGA

This is sufficient for i686

A similar machine works great with:
$ rpm -q xfce4-about
xfce4-about-4.10.0-11.fc20.x86_64
$ rpm -q lightdm
lightdm-1.11.8-1.fc20.x86_64
$ rpm -q lightdm-gtk
lightdm-gtk-1.8.6-1.fc20.x86_64
