Two days ago I have updated my system through yum and since then KDE is

I don't have any problems but my Fedora 20 KDE startup is
painstakingly slow.
If I am not misjudging it at least takes 5 minutes or more to start.
Time to
time I have to literally wait a few minutes for Fedora icons to fill
up white
during boot.
I don't quite understand. Is booting slow or is setting up a KDE session
after loging slow?
In case of booting, the first thing to check would be to check if
networking/DNS/dhcp is working.
Exactly what happened to me but only after a recent update. I hope to
find the reason but I suspect it is related to KDE session restore or
the nouveau driver.
Did you try to set up a new account?
