I found it when thrashing around to solve my own problem: failure of duplex printing with Fedora 20 on a Brother HL-5150D (connected via USB). Please look at this bugzilla: <https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1035090> There is a work-around that works for me (see comment 9): sudo lpadmin -p PrinterName -o pdftops-renderer-default=gs The real problem is a bug ip pdftops.
