It's another post-X11, compositing display server meant to address basically the same needs that Wayland does. Canonical made a big noise a few years ago that Wayland was the wrong approach and tried to get support for its alternative, but years later Wayland is nearly ready for use and Mir has seen countless delays, as well as zero distributions adopting it outside of Ubuntu. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1 Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://www.enigmail.net/ iEYEARECAAYFAlM8EMIACgkQeiVVYja6o6MTQQCgn48x0Ut5J9gGIFZhxQzNCbK0 /PwAnjpe3HTAtbf4LJdduQw+YCKdB6sK =D/oA -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- users mailing list users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe or change subscription options: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/users Fedora Code of Conduct: http://fedoraproject.org/code-of-conduct Guidelines: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines Have a question?
