Hi, I have sendmail on Fedora 20 desktop, and also for me it does not show OK (when in Xwindows) > Would I get a message if the restart failed? I believe so. If I run this simple test on Fedora 20 desktop: mv /usr/sbin/sendmail.sendmail /usr/sbin/sendmail.org and systemctl restart sendmail.service I get: Job for sendmail.service failed. See 'systemctl status sendmail.service' and 'journalctl -xn' for details Regards, Rami Rosen http://ramirose.wix.com/ramirosen On Thu, Mar 20, 2014 at 2:59 PM, Timothy Murphy <gayleard@xxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > I notice that when I run > # systemctl restart sendmail.service > I get no OK message on my Fedora-20 laptop, > as I do when I run > # service sendmail restart > on my CentOS server. > > This seems a little surprising to me. > Is there some setting I could add to get confirmation? > (I know I could run "systemctl status ...".) > Would I get a message if the restart failed? > > > > > > > -- > Timothy Murphy > e-mail: gayleard /at/ eircom.net > School of Mathematics, Trinity College, Dublin 2, Ireland > > > -- > users mailing list > users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > To unsubscribe or change subscription options: > https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/users > Fedora Code of Conduct: http://fedoraproject.org/code-of-conduct > Guidelines: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines > Have a question?
