If you haven't already, activate the Magic Sysrq key and make sure that it works. If nothing else, it can help you get an orderly reboot, instead of needing to power-cycle. Be warned, though, that when my old mobo had trouble, the combos would work during testing, but never when I needed them. Still, that helped me work out that the mobo was the problem.
