Can I get > to just run by clicking the file If you right-click on the file, the menu may offer you options to run or edit the file. On my system, if I double click on such a file, a pop-up appears asking me whether to run it, run it in a terminal, or open it in an editor. Your file manager (Nautilus, etc) should have options for what to do by default, but be aware that the option to open in an editor is a protection against accidentally running dangerous scripts. -- [tim@localhost ~]$ uname -rsvp Linux 3.9.10-100.fc17.x86_64 #1 SMP Sun Jul 14 01:31:27 UTC 2013 x86_64 All mail to my mailbox is automatically deleted, there is no point trying to privately email me, I will only read messages posted to the public lists.
