I have used GIMP to fill in forms in the past.

My wife has used both Okular and Evince to fill in pdf forms.

I have used Evince as well.

Hi Robin, filling out the forms is _not_ tho problem. I know I can do
this by using evince or acroread or some other...

What I need is to advance such printable only forms so I can create new
forms from them, allowing still filling out, but additionally being
storable.

The simple question is: what prevents LO from importing such printable
only forms?

Kind regards

Look at using the GIMP to do that. You may be able to do something with either of the other two programs I mentioned.

If it is that LibreOffice is honouring the password rules, then the other programs may over ride them and allow you to save the form in a format that is now workable in LibreOffice.

I don't know if you can print the form to a pdf and then convert it back to a form.

A quick search shows that you can possible remove passwords using command line options.

Ghostscript may be able to strip the passwords according to the above link.

pdfcrack is also available.
