Thanks, this looked to be useful. However, I still do not have java
working. I reinstalled java-1.7.0-openjdk. The package
java-1.7.0-openjdk-1.7.0.60-2.4.4.1.fc20.x86_64 is installed.

However the link in alternative is
/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.7.0-openjdk-1.7.0.60-2.4.4.0.fc20.x86_64/jre/bin/java
instead of
/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.7.0-openjdk-1.7.0.60-2.4.4.1.fc20.x86_64/jre/bin/java

notice 2.4.4.0 -> 2.4.4.1

This is maybe unrelated to my yum issues and only an issue in the
openjdk package.
