Nagios plugin to check lvm volumes

I'm looking for a plugin for Nagios that checks free space on ext4 LVM
volumes like 'check_disk' does for standard ones. I've seen a couple,
but one only determines the status of the volume (OK or NOT OK) or
only works with ext2/3 volumes. Someone on the Icinga list (which is
what I'm using along with Nagios plugins) mentioned SNMP and MIBs, but
surely someone has come up with a plugin to check LVM space.

Unfortunately, the VMs I inherited were all built using LVM volumes
for the root filesystem, which I found years ago to be just about the
silliest thing anyone could do, so I'm stuck with what I've got for
the moment.

Any ideas?
