So, I have realized that vpnagentd was not running: /opt/cisco/anyconnect/bin/vpnagentd file /opt/cisco/anyconnect/bin/vpnagentd /opt/cisco/anyconnect/bin/vpnagentd: setuid ELF 64-bit LSB executable, x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked (uses shared libs), for GNU/Linux 2.6.15, stripped Running this command makes it possible to again use the VPN UI. So, does this mean that sometimes, i.e. after a couple of hibernates, the agent daemon does not come back up? Is this a bug? (Most likely so to me, but if so, what should the bug be filed against?) Again, this worked fine up to F19 (however, I did not get to the 3.12 kernel before switching to F20 at the time of the latter's release).
