one thing for sure, a good filter cures abnormal pests.

But then you forgo the pleasure of the delete key...

not really.

with thunderbird and using a filter to [Mark As Read], +
[Delete Message], moves email to 'Trash' folder of my isp
account.

beauty of filter, i do not see a "pesticide" filtered email
because i have [X] Empty Trash on Exit set for isp account.
therefore, because i do close thunderbird every couple days,
i never see "pest" emails.

because i filter _all_ incoming emails to "Local Folders",
what ever i <delete> under "Local Folders" goes to "Trash"
folder under "Local Folders", which i do not have set for
auto empty, as i do like to hold deleted emails and manually
empty them.

comprendō?
