Known problem with the google rpm....

What I do is....

1.  Install rpmrebuild
2.  Run rpmrebuild -ep google-earth-stable_current_x86_64.rpm
3.  Find the line....
     %dir %attr(0755, root, root) "/usr/bin"  and delete it...
4.  The rpm will be rebuilt will be saved for you to install.

It may also be helpful to install rpmdevtools and run rpmdev-setuptree.
