Just tell her you installed a proxy on the computer and add some small
filtering to it so it would filter some sites and you will see how fast
she comes at you and asks for help while the computer still works 100% fine.

LOL! No! She's like the proverbial 5 year old who keeps asking "why is the sky blue?" I really don't need to spend the next week explaining proxies. She'll eventually stumble upon the words "open proxy" and then start wondering if her computer has become part of a botnet.
