I wonder which bootloader it updated. Do you have an entry for Schrödinger's Cat? Do you have an entry for FedUp completion? Have you looked at your /boot/grub2/grub.cfg file for anything? Is it the same as your Ubuntu grub? This may very well be a reflection that Fedora doesn't directly support booting through Ubuntu's grub.... > [ 3247.133] (II) fedup:<module>() /bin/fedup exiting at Sat Jul 6 > 11:37:18 2013 > > tail secure: Your fedup complete at 11:37, everything below is well after that time.... > Jul 6 11:50:36 my-desktop polkitd[726]: Registered Authentication Agent > for unix-session:1 (system bus name :1.49 [gnome-shell --mode=gdm], > object path /org/freedesktop/PolicyKit1/AuthenticationAgent, locale > en_US.UTF-8) > Jul 6 11:50:45 my-desktop gdm-password][1811]: > pam_unix(gdm-password:session): session opened for user Roger_m by > (unknown)(uid=0) > Jul 6 11:50:45 my-desktop gdm-launch-environment][1127]: > pam_unix(gdm-launch-environment:session): session closed for user gdm > Jul 6 11:50:45 my-desktop polkitd[726]: Unregistered Authentication > Agent for unix-session:1 (system bus name :1.49, object path > /org/freedesktop/PolicyKit1/AuthenticationAgent, locale en_US.UTF-8) > (disconnected from bus) > Jul 6 11:50:57 my-desktop polkitd[726]: Registered Authentication Agent > for unix-session:2 (system bus name :1.85 [/usr/bin/cinnamon], object > path /org/freedesktop/PolicyKit1/AuthenticationAgent, locale en_US.UTF-8) > Jul 6 11:52:54my-desktop sudo: My : TTY=pts/0 ; PWD=/home/My ; > USER=root ; COMMAND=/bin/yum update > Jul 6 12:14:12 my-desktop sudo: My : TTY=pts/0 ; PWD=/var/log ; > USER=root ; COMMAND=/bin/tail messages > Jul 6 12:15:18 my-desktop sudo: My: TTY=pts/0 ; PWD=/var/log ; > USER=root ; COMMAND=/bin/tail secure > Jul 6 12:15:50 my-desktop sudo: My : TTY=pts/0 ; PWD=/var/log ; > USER=root ; COMMAND=/bin/tail fedup.log > Jul 6 12:16:45 my-desktop sudo: My : TTY=pts/0 ; PWD=/var/log ; > USER=root ; COMMAND=/bin/tail secure > > tail messages: > Jul 6 11:51:06 My-desktop dbus-daemon[601]: ** Message: No devices in > use, exit > Jul 6 11:51:14 My-desktop dbus-daemon[601]: dbus[601]: [system] > Activating via systemd: service name='org.freedesktop.timedate1' > unit='dbus-org.freedesktop.timedate1.service' > Jul 6 11:51:14 My-desktop dbus[601]: [system] Activating via systemd: > service name='org.freedesktop.timedate1' > unit='dbus-org.freedesktop.timedate1.service' > Jul 6 11:51:14 My-desktop systemd[1]: Starting Time & Date Service... > Jul 6 11:51:14 My-desktop dbus-daemon[601]: dbus[601]: [system] > Successfully activated service 'org.freedesktop.timedate1' > Jul 6 11:51:14 My-desktop dbus[601]: [system] Successfully activated > service 'org.freedesktop.timedate1' > Jul 6 11:51:14 My-desktop systemd[1]: Started Time & Date Service. > Jul 6 12:04:45 My-desktop systemd[1]: Starting Cleanup of Temporary > Directories... > Jul 6 12:04:47 My-desktop systemd-tmpfiles[3086]: > stat(/run/user/1000/gvfs) failed: Permission denied > Jul 6 12:04:47 My-desktop systemd[1]: Started Cleanup of Temporary > Directories. > -- Kevin J.
