It didn't take quite as long to use the fedora-upgrade script that uses
yum directly. But that other method (F17->F18) didn't seem to leave
things as "clean" as I would have liked. This did--so far.

"Clean" to me means "all version numbers consistent."
When I went from F17 to F18 using yum, Sysinfo kept the F17 name. But
fedup changed that name. It also left the rescue-mode option, and I have
never had that option before.
