Backlight control is not working, but I developed a very simple work-around that re-enables it under Fedora.
Oddly, I do not see that bug under GNOME. Backlight controls work fine for me with an unmodified configuration.
I installed the KDE desktop and its power management is configured to hibernate upon critically low battery. I had to disable that because, apparently, hibernate is not working
You probably still have Secure Boot enabled. Hibernate and Secure Boot are incompatible, at least under Linux.
and KDE somehow thinks the battery is critically low after wake-up from sleep sometimes even when it isn't. I didn't try to debug that because I never really want hibernate. There's probably a bug in KDE power management.
I haven't seen any weird behavior under GNOME, so it may in fact be a KDE bug.
It's a very fine laptop.
X.org has a bug that causes repeated 'Pg up' or 'Pg dn' key press events pretty frequently. It's extremely bothersome, to the point that I'm considering selling my XPS 13 and looking for a laptop with an actual 'pg up' and 'pg dn' key rather than a Fn+key combination.
