Hi Everyone,
I've just installed Fedora 17 as a fresh install and setup Raid 10, its
all working, and does boot ok.
However when installing grub on each of the 4 drives one of them doesn't
like it, or something isn't right and I am not sure what the issue is as
the 3 drives don't complain.
I have a 500mb raid partition on each of the 4 drives, and then have
created a raid 1 device that is mapped to /boot mount point.
the rest of the space is also assigned a fixed size and mapped to a raid
partition, I have then created a raid device which is mapped to a LVM,
and then created the usually group, and the lv_root, lv_swap, lv_home
groups within it.
I have then done grub2-install /dev/sda, this returned "Installation
finished. No error reported" as did /dev/sdb and /dev/sdd.
When I did grub2-install /dev/sdc this came back with a warning and a
error of the following, then quits back to the prompt, it boots ok is
this anything for me to worry about ?.
/usr/sbin/grub2-bios-setup: warning: this GPT partition label contains
no BIOS Boot Partition; embedding won't be possible.
/usr/sbin/grub2-bios-setup: error: embedding is not possible, but this
is required for RAID and LVM install.
Thanks
Daniel.
