Insert a separator on the panel and check the box "expand".

You will probably also want to make the separator invisible so you don't
get a bar in the middle of the space between the right and left items.

How do you make it invisible? That's not on the properties dialog.

Once installed on the panel left click it to get to its properties. You want Appearance->Style->Transparent
