Bizarrely, I apparently needed the plugin in order to install Samsung's Unified Linux Driver for my CLP-325W laser printer. (Without it the driver installation "wizard" simply hung with a warning that the plugin was required.) Nb I started the installation through the command line, not through a browser. I also need it to access a bank account (in another country). So it seems to me that the plugin is sometimes required for purely practical purposes. -- Timothy Murphy e-mail: gayleard /at/ eircom.net tel: +353-86-2336090, +353-1-2842366 s-mail: School of Mathematics, Trinity College Dublin -- users mailing list users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe or change subscription options: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/users Guidelines: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines Have a question?
