I agree. The problem we have today is that everyone who can write "Hello
world!" in HTML considers themselves to be a "programmer".
if someone DOES NOT KNOW how to optimize code he has to
learn it and should not call himself a programmer before
IMHO developers should be forced to test their crap on
a older machine with 17" display as also web-developers
should work on servers with mod_bw and 128kbit bandwidth
our machines would be 2-5 times faster these days..........
and yes having a 4 GHz CPU 3 times faster is noticeable
