Can we all just stop claiming this? It is tiring to hear this being repeated so often. People don't change things for "no reason". This is not a random mutation. If you don't know the reason, ask. If you know the reason but disagree anyway, say so and if you have a winning argument, you might even convince people but dont go around claiming things are being done for no reason. This is never (with the exception of accidents) the case.
