I'm trying out Cinnamon on f18. Under Cinnamon settings, I've checked all the options for "icon visible on desktop", but none appear. What's the trick? -- -- Steve
That happened to me on Ubuntu 12.04, and I solve it using Gnome Tweak Tool -> Show Icons on Desktop, or instead of this, Filemanager manage desktop.
Something like that, I'm translating from Spanish
