It seems a > little backward to me -- especially since installing Fedora is the only thing I've ever used a CD drive for in the > past six months, and I never used those burned CDs more than once. well, that is why i have one DVD-RW at home and in the office where is always the recently used fedora installer - the currently state is the better one because it is easy to make a bootable USB stick form the live-cd-iso and so it is your chice for my usecases DVD is ok - every couple years a fedora install and the rest of the time yum-upgrades over years and even moving disks from RAID10/RAID1 setups to new machines with the same disk layout
