Before logging back in, go to an alternate text console and check
.xsession-errors for messages. If you're lucky, there might be
something there to explain what happened. Personally, I've always
thought that whoever decided that this was an adequate and appropriate
error message should be taken out and shot. Never mind waiting until dawn.
BTW, I almost deleted your post unread because the lack of a subject
made me suspect it was spam. HTH, HAND.
I am experiencing the same problem now and then...can you explain how I
can get an an alternate text console???
