Sorry ... My bad....
I caused the problem by renaming the kernel.spec file to kernel-3.6.7-5.spec
to prevent having it clobbered when installing another kernel source rpm,
in order to build 2 kernels in parallel.
This is another problem that should be addressed because it prevents the
user from
having multiple versions of a package's spec file in the SPECS directory.
