Not always the case, but if they're not even told about it they can't fix it.
(Not too ) many years ago on of my boxes was cracked and used like this. Once
I knew I took it down and rebuilt the server from scratch.
Rule #1 - if your box is cracked - wipe it
I usually go one better and do a fresh install of Fedora every even
number update version.
As for the above-mentioned, not a chance in h...l they would even accept
what I am saying about their precious home machines. Like most windows
users they are cast into granite that they are safe.
