Binary version of http://clipgrab.de/en works just fine in Fedora 17.
On-line you can use http://keepvid.com/
Erm, but how do I run this clipgrab thing?
Click on the 'Free Download' (I think you did already), extract the file
to /usr/local/bin and open it with the command
clipgrab-3.2.0.9
If you want a menu entry, a desktop file is needed.
Either create a launcher (I don't know if GNOME has this option any
more) or do it by hand (get a simple desktop file from
/usr/share/applications as a model and change the Name, Icon and Exec
keys).
Later I post one too.
Here's a /usr/local/share/applications/clipgrab.desktop
[Desktop Entry]
Version=1.0
Name=Clipgrab
Comment=Download videos from Internet video sites
Icon=emblem-downloads
Exec=clipgrab-3.2.0.9
Type=Application
StartupNotify=true
Terminal=false
Categories=AudioVideo
Here clipgrab worked OOTB but if it doesn't work for you run
# yum install ffmpeg qt
and then try again.
