I've not had a crash but it stops working for up to 3 minutes, at the
same time it uses 100% of cpu and 90% memory, then stops using all that
and works well for a short time.

I moved to Chrome long ago (using the open source version, it is very
easy to build and maintain), and I never looked back. I am hoping to
start providing a package for it for Fedora 18 and forward.
