wodim is an utter pile of rubbish. Only the true cdrecord actually works well. Download the one true cdrecord from: http://cdrecord.berlios.de/private/cdrecord.html and build it from source. Try to ignore the fact that the author is a supreme ass who rubs everyone the wrong way.
