no a application issue, this is STONEOLD
there is no GCC 3.3 for Fedora >16

compat-gcc-34: Compatibility GNU Compiler Collection
compat-gcc-34-c++: C++ support for compatibility compiler
compat-gcc-34-g77: Fortran 77 support for compatibility compiler
