You didn't mention what desktop you are using..... For GNOME, which I don't use, it is very easy for a person to select which LANG they want to operate in. All they do is go to "System Settings--->Region&Language" and set their language for their next and subsequent logins. For the person using a different language than their main one...they just have to remember to do it on logout. Yes, you probably won't see the font problems that I have..... :-) KDE has a similar method..... The "problem" that I found with KDE is that while it does change all the display settings and such it doesn't change the locale. It remains as the system locale....so messages in bash will stay in the system locale. Also, if you use GNOME and change languages the next time you login it will ask you if you want to change the names of Downloads, Music, Public, etc. to match the new language. Well, since the system I'm talking about it mine and only has one "real" user I replace my Downloads, Music directories with links to the one account that I always want reference and make those other logins part of the "main" group.
