You might not need to be as drastic. If you do top and view the one - or
so many - program(s) that use an incredible amount of resources, then
remove that/those program(s), you should be fine.

sounds like my experience, although, I was thinking - for yourself - of calling top at times like this current moment, and removing anything that, say, uses over 20%, certainly over 25%
