FYI, this happened when I installed Kubuntu as well, so it's not a specific
Fedora issue.
Any ideas? Surely, someone has something that might help.
you could try using a different video card, just to check that the card is ok...
It's a brand new card and it works perfectly in Windows 7 on the same
hardware.
