In recent versions, there is an option to make that user an "administrator". In that case, the user is made a member of the wheel group and is prompted for his own password instead of root when performing administrative tasks using the GUI tools. To make a user an administrator ex post, avail yourself of the "User Accounts" settings app. in Gnome Shell. > -- Matthew Saltzman Clemson University Math Sciences mjs AT clemson DOT edu -- users mailing list users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe or change subscription options: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/users Guidelines: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines Have a question?
