A friend of mine and I have both noticed that access to some -- but not all -- web sites has become much slower recently. Some sites time out, others hang, apparently while waiting for ads to load; a bad guy may be meebo. I have no trouble with Google and most technical sites; NY times is erratic; other political and news sites are variable, some very slow. Frequently a hung site can be restarted by stopping the download and then restarting it. Has anyone else noticed this? Any ideas what has happened?
