I have a new Gigabyte GA-E350N Motherboard set up that I want to install F17 to from a USB flash drive but it refuses to recognize it. I have made what I think are the required changes to boot order but it never seems to "see" the flash drive, always wants to boot from an old fedora drive and just shows grub> with a blinking cursor. I don't know what version is on there. The flash drive works in another F16 computer so it appears to be good. I want to just boot and install from the USB spin! Does anyone have experience with this board? Bob -- http://www.qrz.com/db/W2BOD box7
Curiously an Scientific Linux 6.2 live USB stick did work and installed, not exactly what I wanted but it points up some problem with the F-17/64 XFCE Spin. I will deal with that later, in the mean time I have a good working system on the new computer.
