I don't know the number of members on this list, but you're being wasteful on a large scale, it's not just an email between you and one or two people talking on this thread. The same applies to the list server - you're wasting its storage space, and its bandwidth with all the postings it sends out to each member. Being wasteful to a project isn't good for its finances. And as for "why not?" Because you're not meant to do that. Behave like an ass, get treated like one, and miss out on the help from those who might have been able to help you with whatever problem you're dealing with, but who don't put up with nuisance people. Contrary to common modern behaviour, being an ass is not something people are supposed to do.
