yum update question/problem??

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I just did a yum update (after having done rpm -e kernel-3.3.5-2.fc16.i686).
And yum updated the kernel again to kernel-3.3.5-2.fc16.i686.
(why I had removed that kernel is another story - I have already
filed a bug with buzilla.redhat.com).

So I visited http://mirrors.kernel.org/fedora/updates/16/i386/
and there I see that latest kernel is kernel-3.3.6-3.fc16.i686.rpm dated May 18th, 02:29

Then I browsed to http://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/fedora/linux/updates/16/i386/
where I was automatically diverted to
http://mirrors.reflected.net/fedora/linux/updates/16/i386/

and there I see kernel-3.3.5-2.fc16.i686.rpm <ftp://ftp.uci.edu/mirrors/fedora/linux/updates/16/i386/kernel-3.3.5-2.fc16.i686.rpm>instead of kernel-3.3.6-3.fc16.i686.rpm
